These arbutus cutting boards are substantial! It's not just that arbutus wood is one of the toughest out there, it's also the weight of them. This cutting board measures 39cm(15.5")L x 22.5cm (8.75")W x 7cm (2.75")D, and weighs in at 3.9kg. 
Don't be worried about any fine cracks on the side or bottom of your  board, with arbutus it's hard to avoid at this kind of thickness and we always ensure that the top has no crack. Any cracks elsewhere on the board have been treated with foodsafe glue and as long as the boards are kept well oiled new cracks should not appear.
